Eng. Ganizani Phiri, President of the Biomedical Engineering Association of Zambia, is a seasoned Consultant Clinical Engineer with a robust background in the hospital and healthcare industry. Proficient in Medical Devices, Healthcare Management, Medical Gases, and Radiotherapy Equipment, Eng. Phiri holds a Bachelor of Technology in Clinical Engineering from the University of South Africa. His leadership not only brings technical expertise but also a strategic vision to enhance collaboration and innovation within the biomedical engineering community in Zambia. Eng. Phiri’s commitment to advancing healthcare technology is reflected in his role as a leader, guiding the association toward a future of continuous growth and impactful contributions to healthcare in Zambia.

Reagan Bwalya, a former Evelyn Hone student, currently serves as the secretary for the association, showcasing his commitment to professional growth. Renowned for his passionate speaking, he recently took on the role of Master of Ceremonies at a symposium and expo, leaving a lasting impression with his eloquence. In his current position, Reagan utilizes his organizational skills to facilitate communication and ensure the success of association initiatives, making him a valuable asset to the professional community.

MR.FREDRICK MULONGOTI
Mr. Mulongoti Fredrick Jr., a Biomedical Engineering Technologist with five years of experience, is currently contributing his expertise at Livingstone University Teaching Hospital. His journey began at Kamoto Mission Hospital under the THET project, followed by two years at Kitwe Teaching Hospital through the Global Fund program. A graduate of Northern Technical College, he is driven by a passion for advancing healthcare through technology.
As a visionary leader, Mr. Mulongoti is an Executive Member of the Biomedical Engineering Association of Zambia, serving as Acting Vice Secretary General. Beyond his professional roles, he authored the Ebook “SECRETS OF SUCCESSFUL BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERS” and is actively working on establishing “MULONGOTI JR HEALTH TECHNOLOGIES,” envisioning a future with a manufacturing company focused on Biomedical Equipment. His journey exemplifies a commitment to excellence, innovation, and the transformative power of Biomedical Engineering.

With a wealth of experience in maintaining and optimizing critical medical equipment, Brian is a valuable asset in ensuring healthcare excellence. Additionally, he serves as the treasurer for the association, showcasing his commitment to advancing the biomedical engineering community through financial management and collaboration. Brian’s dual role underscores his multifaceted contributions to both the healthcare sector and the professional community at large.

Lozindaba Annie Mwangilwa possesses a comprehensive academic background, holding a Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Teaching Methodology, and a Bachelor of Technical Education in Entrepreneurship Training. She assumes pivotal roles as the Vice Treasurer of the Biomedical Engineering Association of Zambia’s Executive team and serves as the Public Relations Officer for the Whisper A Dream Foundation.
In her current professional capacity, Lozindaba is stationed under the Chelstone Sub-District, where she holds the esteemed position of Head Chelstone Sub-District, where she holds the esteemed position of Head underscore her dedication to both the field of biomedical engineering and her commitment to community service through her involvement with the Whisper A Dream Foundation.

MR.GEORGE NYIRENDA
George Nyirenda is a Biomedical Equipment Technologist at Luangwa District Hospital and Vice Chairman of the Engineering Institution of Zambia’s Biomedical Engineering Section. He serves as the Project Coordinator for the Innovators and Inventors Association of Zambia and is the Founder and President of the Tiphunzi Sane Movement, an organization addressing youth issues like drug abuse and education. George has also held leadership roles, including President of the Evelyn Hone College Biomedical Engineering Students Association in 2018 and former Engineering Institution of Zambia Students’ College Representative, showcasing his commitment to both his profession and student representation.

Meet Robenda Chewe, a dynamic Biomedical Engineering professional whose journey is a testament to dedication and impactful contributions to healthcare. Starting her academic voyage at Northern Technical College, Robenda swiftly transitioned into the field, joining THET in 2019. As a skilled Biomedical Engineering Technologist, she navigated roles at Kawambwe District Hospital under the Global Fund and assumed leadership positions as the Head of Department at both Lubwe Mission Hospital and Kawambwa Hospital.
Notably, Robenda’s influence expanded as the Oxygen Coordinator for Luapula Province in 2021, underscoring her strategic impact in healthcare coordination. Now, in her latest endeavor, Robenda has brought her expertise to Nchelenge District Hospital, showcasing adaptability and a commitment to enhancing healthcare services.
